Poas Volcano National Park

Poas is a volcano that exceeds the 2.700 meters of height.  This he is one of volcanos most impressive of Costa Rica, with tropical scenes that will clear the breathing to him.  The Earth in this sector is ideal for the cultivation of products and is a zone of considerable potential for hydrological and geothermal energy. 

Additional to the main crater Dull, the lake exists Dull and the cone von Frantzius and at least mediates dozen of other piroclásticos cones in the environs, composed of dry lava and ash-gray.

In the park it is possible to identify four main habitats, although it predominates the height forest, with pigmeas vegetations also it is possible to find cloudy forest and areas with little or no vegetation. The flora of this area includes but it does not limit cedars and cypresses.
